Glen has over 30 years of experience in food regulation, including 8 years in senior leadership at Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) as General Manager, Risk Management and Intelligence until 2024. He also applied his leadership expertise to the biosecurity system at the Ministry for Primary Industries.
His favourite aspect of working in government was collaborating with industry to drive and explain regulatory change. A career highlight was sitting on the officials’ bench on the floor of Parliament when the Food Bill was introduced in 2014.
Glen’s superpower is his vast global network of regulators, government officials, and food industry professionals across New Zealand, Australia, and beyond. He combines this with regulatory insight from his time as a senior public servant to help solve even the most complex challenges.
